The Samuel Field Y camping program offers a unique experience for children & teens. Summer is a time to be outdoors, exploring new worlds and embarking on age appropriate adventures.
Summer campers experience a wide variety of specialized daily activities with well-trained, sensitive and skilled staff.



Ages 2.9-5
Childcare Camp starts at age 2.0
This summer camp for kids is located at our Little Neck site. Children are in a safe, air conditioned, nurturing environment where each child is encouraged to grow and develop. The summer camp program includes swim, arts and crafts, music, special guests and much more!
Grades K-4
This kids summer camp is ideal for children who want to play outdoors. Camp is located at Henry Kaufman Campgrounds, on 350 beautiful acres of fields, woods and picnic areas. The grounds also offer the largest pool complex in Suffolk County where all of the swim instructors are Red Cross certified.
Grades 2-5
Youth summer camp designed for children of all skills levels who want to spend their time playing a variety of sports. Campers will have fun and improve skills.
Grades 2-5
Summer camp combines a half-day of reading, writing, science and math with a half-day of sports, swim and fun. Our beautiful 350-acre campgrounds are the setting for this full day summer program.
Grades 1-5
Located at the Queens County Farm Museum in Little Neck. Youth summer camp participants will have the opportunity to explore the natural outdoor setting of the farm and learn from the farm's talented experts. From 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon.
Grades 1 - 4
Have your child continue their academic learning throughout the summer 3 or 5 mornings from 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon. Instruction in Math, Reading, Writing and Science are all part of the summer camp programs curriculum led by a New York State Certified Teacher.
Grade 5
Young Adventurers is a wonderful transition from Junior Camp to our travel programs. The summer camp program combines activities at our 350-acre campground with off site field trips. In addition to overnights at the campgrounds, the Young Adventurers travel to upstate New York for 3 days/2 nights.
Our summer programs specialize in serving children 5-21 who have developmental disabilities. Younger campers enjoy our center-based programs located at the Y's Little Neck site. Older campers are offered the adventure of a full day camping experience at the Henry Kaufmann campgrounds. Program eligibility is determined by interview. Spend the summer at our premiere Jewish sleep away camp, Camp Poyntelle Lewis Village. Our diverse array of summer camp activities and facilities include a 70 acre private lake with water-skiing, wake boarding, tubing, Red Cross swim instruction, sailing, canoeing, and kayaking; newly expanded multimedia-arts program; and land sports including tennis, soccer, hockey and softball.
