Have a cause you're passionate about, and want to make a difference? Every Thursday evening from 6:45 PM - 7:30 PM
the Samuel Field Y will be hosting Junior Council, where tweens and teens in grades 6-8 can spend quality time with
their friends while planning some great community service projects to benefit our neighborhood. Service credit for
school will be provided as well.
With our leadership group for high school students -Teen Council - serving as such a successful model for getting
teenagers involved in their community, we hope to be able to provide a similar experience for the teens just a tad younger.
Junior Council will allow middle school aged children the opportunity to socialize with a group of their friends, and share
experiences with one another to let them know that they have a familiar place to come to for support and comfort, while
learning how to truly give back to their community.
Registration is required, so please contact Andy Gavora at (718) 225-6750 ext. 261 for more information.
Time: Thursdays, 6:15-7:15 PM
