General Information

It is the Samuel Field Y's policy to provide equal opportunity to all participants without regard to race, gender, color, creed, religion, national origin, age, disability, marital status or sexual orientation in accordance with all applicable laws, directives and regulations of federal, state and city entities.

MEMBERSHIP

There is one membership for the Samuel Field Y, which covers a 12-month period from the date of application. Membership in the Y is required for Nursery School, Child Care, After School Day Care, and entitles you to the use of Open Gym Time, advanced regis-tration opportunities, discounted rates on various programs and waives the registration fee for camp.

INSURANCE

The Samuel Field Y participates in the JCC Group Accident Medical Program, which provides excess accident medical coverage for members injured in a Y sponsored activity.

REGISTRATION & MISSED CLASSES

For dates and times of classes, please contact the Director of the Department. Participants who miss classes will not be reimbursed and there are no make-ups.

SNOW CLOSINGS

If the buildings have to be closed or classes cancelled due to inclement weather, listen to WCBS 880  AM. When last-minute decisions based on changing weather conditions are necessary, information will be available by phone. Parents of children in afternoon classes/programs are urged to call the Y periodically for changes, cancellations and early closings. The Y cannot guarantee that classes that are cancelled due to weather will be made up. Refunds cannot be issued.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE

Programs are held at Little Neck site unless otherwise noted. MasterCard, VISA, VISA Electron and Discover credit cards, as well as debit cards, are accepted at the following locations for payment of yearly membership and for all class activities. All checks should be made payable to the Samuel Field Y.

The Y is concerned about your child's safety, therefore:
We cannot accept responsibility for your child except when he/she is under the supervision of an appropriate Y employee. Supervision is available only at program locations during program hours. Parents will be responsible for notifying appropriate staff of a child's absence, late arrival, early or late pick up and any special circumstances related to arrivals or departures. The Samuel Field Y has the right to the use of any photographs and other representations of Y programs for purposes of publicity, publication and/or display on behalf of the agency and UJA-Federation of New York. The Y is a Smoke-Free Environment & Handicapped Accessible.
