Our preschool programs are designed to offer young children an opportunity to play, explore, and engage in multi-faceted activities. Professionally trained teachers facilitate children’s growth through dynamic educational experiences. We provide a caring day care atmosphere in which children develop and thrive intellectually, socially and emotionally and where families feel welcome.
Planning your work schedule and needing childcare and an early childhood education for your child age 2-5? We provide a safe and caring atmosphere where you can leave your child secure in the knowledge that he or she is in the best possible environment. We provide educational experiences appropriate to the developmental level of each group in a nurturing atmosphere that considers each child’s individual needs.
The program includes breakfast and two snacks. Lunch (brought from home) is refrigerated and served at noon, after which children nap or rest, before afternoon activities.
Our Nursery school programs are designed to meet the learning, social and emotional needs of children ages 2.9 in September through the pre-kindergarten year. Some things you might see include: Twos - Learning how plants grow, how to make the color purple, importance of sharing, and strengthening of vocabulary. Threes - Understanding concepts like hibernation, the development of a chrysalis from a caterpillar, how tall is a giant penguin, and how do we measure. Fours - Demonstrate ability to compare literature and understand professions, and increase proficiency in computer skills.
This program provides 2 year olds with a chance to explore an expanding world while learning independence. This 2-hour program introduces nursery school activities such as art, music, dramatic play, blocks, cooking, Jewish culture and more. Parent or caregiver remains in the class and separates gradually as the child is ready. Children enrolled in Not Quite Nursery do not need to be toilet trained.
Pre-K For All, formerly known as UPK, is for children residing in New York City. The program is processed by an application system administered by the New York City Department of Education and is free of charge. Each class has a certified teacher and an assistant teacher. Classes begin in September and end in June. The program offers a rich, supportive learning environment where children can explore, discover, talk freely, build, create and grow intellectually, emotionally and socially.
