We are thrilled to be hosting an Experience to Work workshop, on Monday's and Tuesday's beginning on Monday October 26, and ending on Tuesday, November 17. This four week seminar includes is an intensive skill development and employment preparation program for Boomers, that includes customized online computer skills training and interactive group seminars to help you conduct a successful job search. By popular demand, we are happy to announce a small extension to our Mini Camp program. From Monday, August 31 through Friday, September 4, we are offering a parent drop off as early as 8:00 AM and pickup promptly at 1:00 PM. Each day includes activities at the Y, swimming at the Tanenbaum Family Pool and a specialized program in the afternoon such as a clinic with Super Soccer Stars, or craft projects with the Lanyard Ladies. You can register for any and all of the days you'd like. The charge is $50 per day for the first child and $35 for each additional sibling. We're excited to announce that our annual Fall Family Festival will take place this year on Sunday, September 27, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Samuel Field Y. Join us for a day of arts and crafts, bouncies and carnival games, food and refreshments, and of course our first Summer Camp and Early Childhood Open House of the new season!
Price of admission is the donation of fresh produce such as apples, oranges, potatoes, and/or carrots, which will be packaged and delivered to members of our community in need. We look forward to seeing you there!
Calling all High School Seniors: The Samuel Field Y's ISY Program offers valuable experience through volunteering, job trainings, and internships in our various After School Programs. On top of developing professional skills, job and life skills are taught at weekly meetings, along with college prep and guest speakers. Assistance with college applications is provided, along with college tours and college nights, and we also provide free tutoring in all major subjects. Our goal is to prepare high school seniors for future careers and college, and we want YOU to be a part of it!
