Family Day for Past, Present, & Future Camp Families

Attention Samuel Field Y Camp Families of the past, present, and future...

Due to bad weather, instead of getting together on Earth Day, join us on Sunday, May 20, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds as we plant our very own "Mitzvah Garden." See what a day at our beautiful campgrounds is like as arts & crafts, sports activities, and a barbeque will be held to get everyone back into the camp spirit!

CQY Nominated for Best of the Boro!

We're cleaning up all of the Best of the Boro Child Care categories in Queens! First the Samuel Field Y was voted Best Child Care, and now we're excited to announce that the Central Queens Y has been nominated in two categories in Queens Courier's Best of the Boro! Please vote for the CQY in the categories of Best Afterschool Program and Best Camp (Explorer Day Camp). While you're at it, vote for the Bay Terrace Pool and Tennis Center for Best Recreation Center!

You can vote once a day, every day through May 18th! Thank You!

Music for Autism at CQY

Music for Autism is raising public awareness and enriching lives through autism-friendly, interactive concerts developed specifically for individuals with autism and their families. Join us at the Central Queens Y in Forest Hills on Sunday, May 20, at 1:00 PM as Music for Autism takes the stage for a very special performance in our community!

This FREE special concert will feature Meagon Brus (soprano) and Jeremy Rafal (piano). They will present music from baroque to contemporary to musical theater selections that the whole family can sing along to. Social Media: Network Your Way to a Job!

A part of a finding a job with in the 21 century includes understanding and being a part of the world online. This includes social media. Don’t be left out! The Samuel Field Y will be hosting a Social Media: Network Your Way to a Job workshop on Wednesday, May 23, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Join Randy Shannon, President of Web Strategies, an Internet marketing, web design and consulting firm, as he teaches the tools of social media, including Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter.
